The following software is affected:
Mac OS X 10.6.1 and prior
Mac OS X 10.5.8
Mac OS X Server 10.6.1 and prior
Mac OS X Server 10.5.8
What is the problem?
There are several bugs in Mac OS X 10.5.8, Mac OS X 10.6.1, Mac OS X Server 10.5.8 and Mac OS X Server 10.6.1, which if not fixed could result in your computer being attacked by criminals.
Your personal and/or business information may be accessed for fraudulent or illegal purposes (eg, identity theft).
Your computer might crash and become unusable.
What we recommend you do
Apple has released Security Update 2009-006 for Mac OS X 10.5.8 (and Server) and Mac OS X 10.6.2 (and Server) to solve the issues.
Setting up automatic updates of your computer’s operating system (which is on by default in Mac OS X) will save you time and reduce the risk to you and your files.
