Adobe Download Manager

for the following operating system platforms:

Windows (all versions)

What is the problem?

There are several bugs in the above Adobe product which, if not fixed, could result in your computer being attacked by criminals. Your personal and/or business information may be accessed for fraudulent or illegal purposes (eg, identity theft).

What we recommend you do

The problem can also be easily fixed by removing Adobe Download Manager from your computer. To determine whether Adobe Download Manager is installed on your computer, and to remove it, follow the simple steps below:

Windows XP/2000

1. Click on the 'Start' button

2. Click on 'Control Panel'

3. Double click on 'Add/Remove Programs'

4.  If 'Adobe Download Manager' exists in the list of installed programs, click 'Remove' and follow the prompts. If 'Adobe Download Manager' does not exist in the list of installed programs, then it is not present on your computer.

 

Windows Vista

1. Click on the 'Start' button

2. Click on 'Control Panel'

3. Double click on 'Programs and Features'

4.  If 'Adobe Download Manager' exists in the list of installed programs, click 'Uninstall/Change' and follow the prompts. If 'Adobe Download Manager' does not exist in the list of installed programs, then it is not present on your computer.

 

Windows 7

1. Click on the 'Start' button

2. Click on 'Control Panel'

3. If 'View by' displays 'Category', then click 'Uninstall a program'. If 'View by' displays 'Large icons' or 'Small icons', then click 'Programs and Features'

4.  If 'Adobe Download Manager' exists in the list of installed programs, click 'Uninstall' and follow the prompts. If 'Adobe Download Manager' does not exist in the list of installed programs, then it is not present on your computer.
