What is an RSS feed?
RSS is an acronym for Really Simple Syndication. It is an XML format designed for sharing web content like news headlines and announcements. An RSS service consists of a list of items, each of which contains a headline, date, description, and a link to a web page.
To subscribe to the RSS feed you need to register and subscribe to the Stay Smart Online Alert Service to set up your RSS preferences.
To view RSS feeds you need to do so via an RSS reader, such as Bloglines, Google Reader or through client email application software which provide functionality to view RSS feeds such as Thunderbird or Outlook 2007.
