for the following operating system platforms:
Windows
What is the problem?
There are bugs in the Adobe Shockwave Player software (for versions prior to version 11.5.0.596) which, if not fixed, could result in your computer being attacked by criminals. Your personal and/or business information may be accessed for fraudulent or illegal purposes (eg, identity theft).
This software is installed on your computer as a browser plug-in to display media content found on many popular web sites, including some animation and video formats.
What we recommend you do
Please note that you are required to uninstall your current version of Shockwave and reboot your computer before installing the new version.
Windows Vista
Select Control Panel (Classic Mode) from the start menu. From the Control Panel window, double-click the "Programs and Features" icon and select Adobe Shockwave player from the list of programs. From the title bar, select Uninstall/Change and follow the prompts.
Windows XP
Select Control Panel (Classic Mode) from Settings in the start menu. From the Control Panel window, double-click the "Programs and Features" icon and select Adobe Shockwave player from the list of programs. From the title bar, select Uninstall/Change and follow the prompts.
